University of Nottingham

The course is great—really interesting, a little challenging, but very engaging and becomes really cool once you understand what they are teaching. The labs are awesome; you get to use equipment you’ve never used before. It is a little long, but the time flies by. Nottingham is a fantastic city for students, with everything you could possibly need, and it has some of the best clubs for a night out. Pints are fairly cheap, and transport is extremely affordable. My halls were great; people were very open to getting to know you, and getting to campus was really easy.

The best decision of my life ever! Going out every day is unreal. It's the best student city ever. I highly recommend it; there are no cons at all. Rutland Hall is very good.

Student life has been good. The course is really enjoyable as I am really interested in politics. The commute is easy because the bus is free, and the accommodation is great.

I live in private accommodation off campus, but the social life and liveliness are probably better than on campus. There’s a hopper bus a ten-minute walk away, which makes getting to university easy. I enjoy my course a lot, and there are many opportunities to volunteer and gain work experience, which is very useful when looking for any degree related to psychology. I feel supported and that my views are valued, and I am really enjoying life here. I’ve met lovely people and have so much fun; it is a wonderful place.

Honestly, student life is amazing. I met wonderful people this year, all from different backgrounds. Although I lived on another campus, the University of Nottingham provided free Hopper Bus transport, which allowed me to travel to the main campus with ease. One great thing is the amount of support and help given to me by my lecturers.

Since coming to university, I have felt so at home. From the staff to the students to the stunning campus, the community around me is welcoming and friendly. I am incredibly happy here and the support available is exceptional. You never feel alone, and there is always someone there to listen to any worries or difficulties you may be facing. As an autistic student, my tutors have been accommodating and exceptional in tailoring sessions to my needs and offering ways to make me feel more comfortable. The course is fulfilling and ranges from medieval literature to modern day literature, language, drama, creative writing, and more. Lectures are funny and engaging, and staff make an effort to get to know you by name. I feel like I belong here, and I cannot recommend this university enough.

Amazing experience, I've had so much support!

There’s not a minute where you will be bored at this university. Even though the lectures are challenging, they make the hour we spend with them interesting. My accommodation isn’t on campus, but it’s a beautiful modern building very close to the city centre and all the nightlife if that’s what you’re looking forward to. The only negative is that it is a bit of a commute, but if you enjoy walking it’s a 40-minute walk or a 10-minute tram journey right to the main campus!
