I commute from south London, so it’s an hour on the Northern line, which isn’t bad. I enjoy my course and the friendly faces in my lectures. The university campus is nice and aesthetically pleasing. However, for certain sports such as football, the university doesn’t provide facilities for 11-a-side games, so traveling to bigger pitches is a trek.

City St George's review

(5)·By Haider A·Law· Jun 2026
Life in the city is fast-paced and exciting. There’s always something happening, whether it’s a new restaurant opening or a street festival. The noise and crowds can be overwhelming at times, but the energy is contagious. Public transportation makes it easy to get around, and there are endless opportunities to meet new people and try new things. Living in the city can be expensive, but the convenience and variety make it worthwhile. The city is easy to get to from any part of London, so the commute is short and easy. The student life is good; they don't overwhelm you with coursework or exams. However, they could install a lift for everyone to use in the Centenary Building.

The university is good, and the commute is quick and easy. The lecturers are very supportive. The workload is high, but it feels effective.

Honest opinion on my university

(5)·By Mina B·Law· Jun 2026
In all honesty, I think my university offers an extensive range of ways to socialise with students from different courses, such as events within various societies like games night. It is easy to make new friends, and everyone is very kind. The commute to university isn’t too bad, as there are many stations nearby, like Farringdon station and Angel station. The advice available to students is great, such as emails from the careers and employability team, which inform us about different opportunities we can sign up for and join. However, I wish the university would be more open about the different grants available to students who need them, especially for those who may not take a loan due to religious reasons.

Student life is vibrant and full of opportunities for personal growth. There are numerous clubs and organizations to join, catering to a wide range of interests. The campus offers various events throughout the year, including cultural festivals, sports competitions, and academic workshops. Students can access support services such as counseling, career guidance, and tutoring. The community is welcoming, and there are plenty of spaces to relax or study with friends. Overall, student life encourages involvement, learning, and building lasting connections.

Best ever

When I first started university, I was scared I would never fit in with friends socially, and university life has made that easier with many opportunities. I was also scared about my learning difficulty. I've been dyslexic, but I've been reassured by personal tutors at the university who help me get my access arrangements and other opportunities that I will need throughout my uni life. Furthermore, the university is amazing and I will recommend it to many, many, many people.
