BSc (Hons) Mathematics Education (11-16 years) with QTS is a fast-track route into teaching. It takes just three years to be a fully qualified teacher of mathematics, compared to the four years it takes to do a degree and then a one-year PGCE.
This course will deepen your knowledge, skills and love of learning mathematics, whilst training you to become a teacher at secondary or college level.

It takes just three years to be a fully qualified teacher of mathematics, compared to the four years it takes to do a degree and then a one-year PGCE.<br/><br/>This course will deepen your knowledge, skills and love of learning mathematics, whilst training you to become a teacher at secondary or college level.<br/><br/>The aims of the course are to develop an in-depth understanding of school level mathematics and the ability to teach conceptual understanding, whilst considering some of the challenges that children and young people face when learning Maths. <br/><br/>Whether you have recently studied mathematics, or are thinking of changing your career, one of the advantages of a three-year teaching degree is that you will have time to develop the subject knowledge required to be a successful teacher over the course of the programme.
