The Health Care Foundation Year (Year One) introduces you to essential healthcare concepts and prepares you with the foundational skills needed for progression onto the full degree course (Years Two to Four).<br/><br/>The full course trains you to become an adult nurse, equipping you to provide support, education, and care to adults and their families in both hospital and community settings. This demanding but rewarding career involves engaging with patients across a wide range of health conditions.<br/><br/>Throughout the course, youll spend 50% of your time in clinical placements within hospitals and community settings, including the NHS and independent sectors such as prisons. These placements are designed to offer practical experience in a supportive environment, where youll work alongside qualified practice assessors and supervisors.<br/><br/>At the University, youll benefit from a welcoming and friendly learning environment, with access to formal teaching, group and one-to-one sessions, a comfortable learning space, and state-of-the-art clinical setups, including simulators for child, infant, and adult care.<br/><br/>Upon successful completion, you will earn a degree that qualifies you to register as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
