Youll get the knowledge and academic skills needed to take on a bachelors degree, learning how to analyse information, do research, and improve your academic writing.<br/><br/>Spend your time developing practical skills in sport management, from events management to entrepreneurship as you learn the knowledge and techniques to start your journey into the industry.<br/><br/>When youve finished, youll be ready to move onto the first year of BSc (Hons) Sport Management.<br/><br/><strong>A guaranteed place</strong><br/>Once you’ve successfully completed your foundation year, youll be ready to progress onto BSc (Hons) Sport Management with a guaranteed place.<br/><br/><strong>Course highlights</strong><br/>• ICP is based on the University of Portsmouth campus so youll have access to all facilities, support and societies<br/><br/><br/><br/>• When you finish your foundation year successfully, you get a guaranteed place on BSc (Hons) Sport Management<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Get used to how lectures, seminars and tutorials work, so you can move onto your degree ready for success<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Learn how to meet the demands of taking on a bachelors at university.<br/><br/><br/><br/><strong>Careers and opportunities</strong><br/>On this course, youll explore sport’s role in society and how sports management and development can make sport accessible to all, yet the business skills youll gain will prepare you for a wide range of careers. <br/><br/>After this foundation year, youll be able to go on to study BSc (Hons) Sport Management, where graduates go on to work in events, marketing, and the sport sector.<br/><br/>Youll also be able to work in more diverse areas of employment, such as sports law, local government, strategic leadership, consultancy and the charity sector.
