Legal Theory & Solicitors Practice - (with Integrated Foundation Year and Placement Year) MLaw

This integrated programme is designed to prepare and support you for a career as a solicitor. From the moment you enrol, you will begin developing the knowledge, skills and professional understanding needed to study law and apply it in practice.

In the first year, you will build a strong foundation for studying at university level. You will develop key academic and professional skills such as communication, critical thinking and independent learning, while exploring contemporary issues affecting individuals and society. You will also be introduced to core legal principles and begin to develop your skills in analysis and problem-solving through project work and practical activities.

As you progress, you will explore law in greater depth and develop the knowledge and skills required for legal practice. The programme combines academic study with a focus on practical legal skills, including legal research, drafting and client-focused problem-solving.

The programme is designed to support progression towards the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) and prepares you for a career in legal practice.
