With a wide variety of modules on offer, you will be able to tailor your modern languages degree to your areas of interest.<br/>You will spend a Year Abroad in the third year, split between two countries where your languages are spoken. <br/><br/>Bulgaria has a rich cultural heritage and a strongly developing economy where specialists in Bulgarian are needed. Studying Bulgarian at SSEES (UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies) provides an opportunity to develop excellent language skills and a profound knowledge of Bulgarias literature, history and culture – combined with an in-depth understanding of the region of central and Eastern Europe.<br/><br/>The UCL Hebrew & Jewish Studies department is the only department of its kind in the UK, and is highly regarded worldwide. You will develop knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Jewish culture, including its languages, literature, history, politics, culture and history. During your time in the department you will have access to a remarkable collection of Hebrew, Yiddish and Judaica books in the UCL Library, as well as to the SOAS Library and the special collections in the British Library, Wiener Library and the National Archives.<br/><br/>UCL Is ranked 3rd in the UK for Modern Languages in the 2018 QS World Rankings and offers outstanding opportunities to language students and graduates.
