Youll be able to gain valuable work experience from our creative partnerships, where youll be able to practically apply your theoretical knowledge and develop your career prospects. <br/><br/>English at NTU is taught by expert academics and award-winning writers. You’ll be able to study an exciting array of literature dating from the Renaissance period right through to the 21st Century. Youll examine a range of literature such as; Shakespeare, American literature, Black writing in Britain, travel writing and modern poetry. Through the varied modules you’ll explore key debates, enhance your communication skills and become more creative with the way in which you write. This course has been designed to help enhance your talents and strengths as well as provide you with the skills and knowledge to forge a successful career. You’ll be encouraged to increase your knowledge surrounding digital competencies and through the use of work experience you’ll be able to gain a great knowledge of the discipline of the workplace and be able to explore a selection of potential careers before graduating. Alongside this, you’ll be able to engage with a detailed cultural programme of events where you’ll be able to meet and converse with writers, film makers and other practitioners to gain a greater insight into English and to learn additional expertise. As one of our graduates you will possess a wide range of academic and transferable skills suitable for employment.
