Including French. Candidates with AS level French (minimum grade B) will also be considered. Not including General Studies. We particularly encourage applicants with some qualifications in mathematical and/or scientific fields. As the course contains a combination of scientific thinking, language skills, and mathematical reasoning, it may be especially suited to the personality of students who have enjoyed both mathematics/science and arts/humanities subjects.

Extended Project

If you offer the Level 3 Extended Project Qualification in a topic relevant to the degree programme, we may take this into account in our consideration of your application.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

A minimum of 32 points with grade 5 in French at Higher Level. If not studying a full IB Diploma - Grades 6, 5, 5 at Higher Level including French and completion of a national high school diploma. Candidates who have some background in Maths and Science may be interested in the cognitive/brain science and quantitative elements of the course. Candidates who prefer Arts and Humanities subjects may be interested in the historical, sociological, and literary elements of the course.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

Applicants will be considered on an individual basis.

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)
